to increas your LBM (lean Body Mass) you will need a mix of Carbs, Protein and Fat. the body for life approach works well so does the warrior diet, find what works for you and stick with it. what ttype of exercise are you doing right now? i really suggest that you look at the following article:

if i have found one thing out throught my 8+ years of training and diet it is that if you eat in a sensable manner and dont eat too much have a higher activity level then you will loose weight. anyway check out the article and i hope i have been of some help.
