MessageThe general rule that I've heard is half of your bodyweight (in pounds) should be the number of ounces you drink. If you weight 190, you should drink 85 ounces of water per day.
The problem is that this formula tends to neglect hard workouts or hot summer months (where you sweat a lot); this general rule should be regarded as the BARE MINIMUM.
Otherwise, drinking when you're thirsty or consistently sipping water throughout the day are good choices (sipping especially).
