I have a german shepard and a yorkshire terrier...

Both seem to be overweight

We feed them twice a day and they still get into things

The yorky weighs about 12 lbs

The shepard weighs about 130 lbs (she's a female...and even without the extra weight she is stil a big dog)

A friend of mine feeds their dog only once a day...and I too feel it is cruel....

But I also don't like the idea of giving her only 1 cup with each meal...it isnt really enough to even cover the bottom of her dog dish...

I don't think they get enough exercise as they should...what is a good amount for a dog?
