Messageon the subject of individual metabolic differences, there was a very interesting piece in the N.Y. Times not too long ago summarizing some recent research into individual weight gain and loss. According to the article, certain persons participating in the study actually gained weight even when fed only what was considered to be a "maintenance" level of calories based on their bodyweight and activity level. Worth checking out if you didn't see it.
