MessageI was talking with some friends over the weekend, and one commented about the flexible plastic that is used for water bottles and Gladware. She said that the plastic is treated with chemicals so that it remains flexible, and that a heating & cooling of the plastic aids in releasing the chemicals (which is why you're apparently not supposed to use Gladware any more after you've taken it out of the freezer).
Also, that rigid plastic bottles (e.g., Nalgene), are better because they're not treated with the same chemicals.
I know glass is best to use because it doesn't interact with the contents, but having a bottle that I don't have to worry about breaking is much better (I work with kids).
Thoughts?
