MessageYangHo, one of the things to know about Vegans is that they are rather political. In the beginning of this book, the author admits that he is making powerful enemies by taking revenue from the A.M.A. and the powerful meat and dairy lobbies. That's why he is all or nothing. He wants to free people from corporations and take an evolutionary step forward. The tacit assumption is if we all eat Vegan, we will deprive the evil corporations of their money and we will all live happily ever after.
For Vegans, then, it is a very important matter. But if you're not ready to join the cult of Veganism you can still benefit greatly from the book. Whatever steps you make toward Veganism will be good. If you eat a lot of meat now and you eat a little less later, that's good. So do not let the fanaticism of the China Study put you off. Use what you can.
