MessageAs I understand it, on a zig zag diet, you are supposed to eat frequently--5 to 7 clean meals a day in order to prevent your body from going into survival mode and relentlessly clutching on to everything that you ingest. But then, once your body is off its guard and not in survival mode, you are supposed to have a pig out day to amass some material for muscle gain and most of the excess food will just pass out of the system.
That much seems clear to me. But I wonder what exactly constitutes pigging out. Does that mean eating a pizza or other 'bad' foods. Or does pigging out merely refer to quantity--i.e., you should just eat a lot more good food? For example, in a regular meal I might eat two poached eggs; is pigging out downing five eggs or is pigging out eating a bacon cheeseburger and pastries?
