MessageI tend to go with "Lights Out" (in spite of the hyperactive prose style) simply because it shows the flaws in thinking and methodology in most vegetarian/vegan nutritional theories. I've never read a single veggie book that made an effective rebuttal to these criticisms.
Also, "Lights Out" incorporates the need to get adequate amounts of sleep on a seasonal basis, without which almost any "diet" is doomed to failure in the long term.
I go with "Smet" on this one, though. Relax, eat a wide variety of fresh, unprocessed foods, and learn to listen to your satiation response. Simply eating slowly enough to savor your food and stop when you've had "enough" will solve the vast majority of your food and health issues.
