MessageSteve makes a valid point. I followed "Eat to Live" consistently because when I started, I was very concerned with my health and took the details very seriously. I didn't drink alcohol and I filled up on whole plant foods so that I didn't eat my favorite comfort foods. That's not to say that cravings went away, but I was very motivated and consistent and it worked great for me.
I hope it works well for you. Just make sure to comply with the food choices very consistently for a month and do something vigorous every day. It's not a race to lose weight, but I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.
