For a college student like me, these things are a life saver. I can't always get quality food in my situation, and thats where protein shakes come in. High protein, low in carbs and fat. I usually drink 2-3 a day with some fish oil on the side. Makes it easier for me to get all my daily calories.
I also find drinking shakes (mixed w/ water) after a strenous workout easier than pounding down whole food IMO.
I think I will keep drinking my 3 a day over the upcoming break - even though I'll have access to good food. Just more convenient for me.
