MessageDidn't come up with much during the search, and I'm trying to get an answer to whether one subtracts dietary fiber from the total carbohydrates of a food when adding up macronutrients and calories. For instance, a cup of lentils has 40 carbs in it, and 16 grams of fiber. Does that mean I'm putting 40 carbs in my belly or 24? Thanks.
