Buy a few kinds af lean meat and plenty of vegies for a few meals.
cook the meat for a few meals at the same time in the oven on the same tray and vary the spices and vegies for different flavors. Here's an example for three lunches:
1. Tilapia with cracked pepper, lemon zest, salt, rosemary
2. Chicken with crushed chipotle, lemon zest, salt, cumin
3. Pork loin with bay, black pepper, thyme, salt
Make whatever vegies seem like they would fit the "theme" you have chosen for the meal. More examples with respect to the numbers above:
1. Sauteed squash and chard with garlic salt and pepper, toasted pumpkin seeds
2. Sauteed pablanos and squash w/oregano, cumin, salt
3. Steamen brocoli w/olive oil, salt, pepper
You can saute your vegies while the protien is in the oven. If you cook in the oven on tin foil then cooking and cleanup of about as many meals as you want will take around 30 min.
Lean protien and whole food vegies doesn't get much easier than that. Here are a few good spice combos:
Italian- garlick, basil, salt, crushed red pepper
Mexican- cumin, oregano, crushed chili, lime juice
Indian Currry- cumin, coriander, turmeric, lime leaves, basil, crushed pepper, salt
Thai- ginger, galick, green pepper, lemongrass, salt or fish sauce
I take a few fish oil caps with meals and drink some milk and protien powder when I need it. Lean beef and egg-white omelets are other options for lean protien.
I hope that helps someone. Eating this way has made it easy for me to have awesome meals without worrying about numbers and measurements and most importantly, without getting bored.
