I know their omega profile is not good compared to things like almonds and walnuts but at the same time, there are far worse things to eat and peanuts are a cheap easy way to help with a low-carb diet. Almond butter is good if you can find it.
Be wary of the amount and type of oil used in peanut butters and of the salt content. Many use hydrogenated fat which is unforgiveable as the ones with just a small % of veg oil (3% maximum) taste absolutely fine.
