1] I've read that taking BCAAs can help a person lose weight. This isn't the reason that I'm taking them, but I was wondering if anyone knows how and why that is?
2] I have also seen that taking BCAAs raises insulin levels and that parts of the muscle building process are dependant on higher insulin. I thought that insulin spikes were something to be avoided - that's the reason I limit carbs and try to get them from vegies. This also seems like it would be counter productive to losing weight. What gives here?
3] Why is it always recommended to take BCAAs by themselves on an empty stomach? Does this have something to do with the increase in insulin?
Thanks in advance for any input you might have!
