MessageI too work irregular hours...two 12hr days, two 12hr nights, four off. And more often than not I throw in an OT night shift in during my four off. Ori recommends simply overeating at night with your largest meal before you goto sleep in the morning. Personally I don't do this.
My day shifts and days off I eat as per WD guidelines. After back shift I get off at 0800 and generally sleep until 1300-1400 (which is not nearly enough lol). I then have a small snack for energy (grapefruit, almonds, yogurt, etc.) and then train. Around 1800 I'll have my large main meal and then within the 4 hour time frame will have a protein meal and that's it for the night. This approach works fine for me, give it a shot.
