MessageAll starchy food breaks down into sugars. Your body truly can't tell the difference. Some break down into sugar faster than others but even whole wheat is high on the index. Cooked potatos actually dump sugar into the bloodstream faster than pure sugar! If you're going to eat carbs, eat nonstarchy vegies.
