cod liver oil: Diet and Nutrition, Weight Loss, Fat Loss

for those of you who use liquid cod liver oil, how do you take it? Do you measure out a tsp and swallow, or can one use it when oil is called for in recipes (cold recipes, such as salad dressings)? Would you recommend a flavored variety?
