You could try another method to help adjust. Anyone with pets should know this one. If you slowly over the course of a few days, mix in the new oats with your normal kind and over that time adjust the ratio increasing the amount of the new, untill you are eating entirely the new oats. This is the same procedure you would do, or should do, when you change your dog or cat's food, so that it won't upset their stomachs.
