My undereating is highly variable. Yesterday, I had vitamins in the morning, a cup of coffee out at about 11 am (Starbucks iced latte: 3 shots of espresso, half and half, and vanilla syrup - most tasty!), worked out midday, and then had dry roasted almonds and dried figs several times throughout the remainder of the afternoon probably every couple of hours and also a Warrior Bar thrown in there, too. Raw veggies and the like are great, but I'm often eating while running out the door to collect or deliver one of my kids, so being able to grab something and eat it while driving is a big plus. Almonds, dried figs, and Warrior Bars all fit the bill for me.
Dinner was homemade Philly cheese steaks and a salad of lettuce, avacados, and homemade dressing that was mostly olive oil. A few sorta-healthy oatmeal cookies for dessert.
Some days, my undereating is whatever they have out for tasting at the local Whole Foods, which is a 1-mile walk from my house.
I go with how I feel, e.g., some days I'll wake up and feel like I didn't eat quite enough the day before, have a big workout planned, and just know that the right thing for me is to have a couple of eggs and a piece of toast for breakfast. That doesn't happen often but when it does, I don't fight it, either.
A lot has to do with who you are, what your current body composition is and where you see yourself headed. I'm 53 years old and basically happy with my current body composition (most people think I look like a runner or triathlete, yesterday's pullup with 40 kg on a belt not withstanding), so I'm just trying to keep the status quo.
