MessageI am convinced that the usual bodybuilder recommendations for protein are _way_ too much. I have added muscle to my frame over the years and my own guesstimate of my protein intake is probably 75 grams per day. I think a safe guideline for most active people is 1 gram of protein per kilogram of bodyweight - that's more than the US RDA but not a huge amount more.
Again, just my opinion here, but I think many people who currently take in as much protein as you do would do better to up their intake of healthy fats and cut back on the protein. Avocado, coconut milk or oil, and even fats that have a "bad" reputation like dairy fat are, IMHO, a fine part of a normal, healthy diet for most people. Fats are very satisfying and, again IMHO, their avoidance is often the beginning of a downward diet spiral - not enough fat, not enough satisfaction from eating, and then you start eating more and more to compenstate.
