MessageYou don't necessarily need to cut out the junk food. I know that might sound like heresy on a diet and nutrition forum, but I'm thin, strong, and I eat my share of bad stuff. Examine carefully where you are and where you want to be - if you think cutting out the junk food will help move you closer to your goals, then right there you have all the motivation you need.
A very, very, very good alternative to "cutting out the junk food" is treating it as yet another variable to cycle. Try, e.g., giving yourself one or two days each week when you expect to eat junk, expect to gain weight, etc., and then keep it clean for the rest of the week. Life moves in cycles, and the more you embrace this concept, the better off you'll be. You may find that cutting out the junk 5 out of 7 days gets you used to living without it and then you'll cut it out altogether, or you may not.
Last but certainly not least, you crave what you're used to. There is no getting rid of the cravings, only stopping taking in the junk food and gradually getting used to not having it.
Just my opinion.
