mc,
Have you read the WD Fatloss Pragraom? If you had, you see you statement above is misinformed. Food combos are just as important in the WD as they are in AED. After all the the gaol is to build a lean powerful, fatigue resistant body, yes? Also had you read both books you will see they are virtually the same concept, with a the AED going to the possible affects of different herbs, minerals and breaks the diet into 3 intro phases, but cycling under and over eating.
Second, the WD isn't about fasting during the day, although some followers choose to do so. If I get hungry I eat, if not I don't. Do I have a "meal", I wouldn't call it one maybe a snack. If I train during the day I have a shake with whole milk.
This a common misconception, one the that got Ori torn to shreds on a popular morning show yesterday.
Let' be clear to, it isn't about "one meal', it really can be looked at a series of meals in a specific feeding window. Many cultures that are more family oriented in the US and probably you in the UK (I am assuming there really isn't much difference), often eat there main meal, read that main meal..not only meal, at the end of the day consisting of many courses stretching over hours. Same concept here.
One of your previous comments was in regards to fueling the body during the day. I can assure you, after my 4 hour feeding window the night before, I fueled, and if done right you would be too.
To be clear, I am not trying to be confrontational, although it may seem like it due to the internet's inability show inflection in one's voice (see Brown vs. Jones). I realize you like PN, it's a great program...we use it's concepts with our clients, but for some of us it just wasn't a good fit.
Regarding your comment about 50% fat, and no "diet" containing that amount of fat. You should maybe Google Lyle McDonald. I have followed his guidelines the entire summer last year, 65-80% fat was the norm.
I had no issues with energy, even training Muay Thai and sparring multiple rounds.
Again, not confrontational, just discussing, as a peace offering I'll even give my of the WD Fat Loss Program if you send my your e-mail address.
You may want to read Maximum Muscle Minimum Fat, too. It digs into the science of it all, and judging from your posts you would enjoy it.
