I must respectfully disagree with the other responses - if you like a spoon of sugar in your coffee, just have it. Everyone is correct that by continuing to have sugar in your coffee, you won't be following the Warrior Diet "by the book", but in my opinion, one of the great joys of the Warrior Diet is that you don't have to follow it "by the book" in order to achieve good results. One teaspoon of sugar is quite low in calories and carbs for the simple reason that it's low in size.
I drink my coffee with generous amounts of half and half (light cream) in it, and sometimes later in the afternoon I will add a bit of flavored syrup.
The bottom line here is that _you_ must judge how having that one teaspoon of sugar in your coffee makes _you_ feel. If getting rid of it makes you feel better in the mornings, and having it feels like it's causing a "sugar buzz" or similar reaction, then yes, you should get rid of it. For me, and I believe for most people, it won't make that much difference but, like I said, it is up to _you_ to judge how _your_ body it reacting.
Another angle on this - if I am around the house in the morning for a while, as I am most days, I am doing joint health and other exercises from quite early on in my day. If, however, I am having a day in which I must roll out of bed early and just sit with no exercise, I would be much less likely to have sugar in my coffee because having just black coffee with cream would feel like a better fit for what was ahead for me.
Again, this is how I go about thinking about it - you must figure out what works best for you.
Best of luck.
